Personnel Announcement
Superintendent Dr. John Kopicki has announced the following personnel appointments, which were approved by our Board of Education on Monday, November 6th.
Erin Milam, assistant principal at McClintock Middle School in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS), has been named principal at Jay M. Robinson High School replacing Dennis Hobbs, who was recently named the Director of Professional Learning and Leadership for the district. Erin will begin her role at Jay M. Robinson at a date to be determined later.
Erin served as a teacher and assistant principal at Julius Chambers High School (CMS) prior to beginning her current role in 2016. She has also served previously as the secondary instructional data coach in CMS.
Erin holds a bachelor's degree from Canisius College, a master's degree from the University of North Carolina Charlotte and a graduate certificate in school leadership from Appalachian State University.
Bonnie Miranda, MTSS facilitator and principal intern at Mount Pleasant High School, has been named assistant principal at West Cabarrus High School replacing Krina Patel, who was named principal at Hickory Ridge Elementary School earlier this year. Bonnie will begin her new role at West Cabarrus at a date to be determined later.
Bonnie previously taught Spanish at Northwest Cabarrus High School, Concord Middle School, and J.N. Fries Middle School before beginning her current role at Mount Pleasant in 2021. She has also taught in Georgia and the Rowan-Salisbury School district.
Bonnie holds a bachelor's degree from Georgia State University and a master's degree from Walden University. She earned her school administration licensure from the University of North Carolina Pembroke.
