BOE Updates
The Cabarrus County Board of Education met on Monday, September 18, 2023, for a business meeting. Here is an update on recognitions, presentations, items for consent, and approved action items from the meeting.
RECOGNITIONS
- Equitable Impact Through Education Awards for September were presented to the following students and staff members:

PRESENTATIONS and UPDATES
Dr. Jonathan Bowers, Chief of Auxiliary Services and Academic Performance, was joined by representatives from Cooperative Strategies, LLC., to update the Board on the status of the district’s long-range realignment study.
Brian Cone, Director of Architecture, Planning and Construction, updated the Board on current contstruction projects underway including the R. Brown McAllister Elementary School replacement, the Mondo track project at J.M. Robinson High School and the completion of the synthetic turf field at Hickory Ridge High School.
ITEMS FOR CONSENT
The Board voted to approve the following consent agenda items:
- Policy revisions on first read:
- Approval of bid for Bethel Elementary roof replacement
- Approval of bid for C.C. Griffin Middle School roof replacement
- Approval of data/cabling bids for R. Brown McAllister Elementary
- Approval of Mosyle OneK12 mobile device management
